Saturday Night the always electric atmosphere of Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge will come alive with the 79th meeting of the mighty Alabama Crimson Tide and the Fighting Tigers of LSU. The meeting of these two rivals go back to a barren field in 1895. The 2011 televised match-up of #1 LSU and #2 Bama was the most watched game in NCAA history.
In the last 10 seasons, the NCAA National Championship Honors have resided either in Tuscaloosa or Baton Rouge 5 times.

After making a snarky remark in her comment section about "the red wave', my good friend and blog sister, Curmudgeon @ The Political Clown Parade challenged me to a sisterly wager on the game we dubbed the “Alabama-LSU Milk Challenge” because of that Ole Miss fan’s major milk meltdown.
In lieu of slinging milk all over the kitchen in a crying fit of rage, we agreed the loser will contribute a tidy sum to a worthy cause we both heartily support, The Wounded Warrior Project.
So when the final whistle blows, there won't just be one victor, there will be 2 winners.
According to some in the know: "the #4 ranked Crimson Tide and #14 ranked Tigers are both better teams then their rankings. Alabama has been arguably the best defensive team in the nation this season, ranking second in points allowed per game. The Tigers have only allowing 10 points total in the past two games and on the year, LSU has given up seven points or less five times, leading to the fourth-best scoring defense.
LSU is a young but very talented team that has started to gel, but this game is going to be the most difficult one of the year for them and their sophomore quarterback and true freshman running back. They are future National Champion in the making.
Alabama is one of the few teams that can match LSU’s talent level across the board – except they’re older and more experienced."
