Al Sharpton Goes After Green Bay Packers Organization

MFNS - Immediately following the NFC Championship game between the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks, the Rev. Al Sharpton and his National Action Network shot off an angry letter to the Packers home office.

The letter, authored by Sharpton himself and translated by his staff, accused the entire Green Bay Coaching Staff of conspiracy and underhanded tactics to gain unfair advantage in the Championship Game: 

"The almost total domination  through most of the game of the all African-American Seahawk defense squad by Green Bay's mostly Caucasian offense we find unacceptable in this day and age of professional football.  

The use of so many white players against the reigning Super Bowl Champions was a calculated move to embarrass people of color and the black community in general. We also see the blatant theft of 4 of Seattle's forward passes shows Green Bay's lack of respect of an African American quarterback....."  

Sharpton said the Green Bay organization should bring their team into line with the NFL standard of more African-American players and to assure their rightful player positions on the field, and also to assure against white privilege or an advantage over other teams. The complaint was also forwarded to the NFL Headquarters for review.

No word to whether protest marches are planned.

The Future Through a Looking Glass Darkly

Since the 114th Congress was sworn in on January 6th, we have gotten a preview of things to come from President Obama and they aren't pretty.  Even before the new Congress was sworn in, Obama threatened to veto any legislation sent over from the Republican Congress that he didn't like.  This was a very telling indicator of things to come, despite Obama's follow up rhetoric that 'he was willing to work with Congress where he could.'

No Mr. President.  You have absolutely no intention of working with the Republican Congress.  In six years you have demonstrated one substantial fact.  You have no negotiating skills whatsoever.  You have repeatedly tried, and often been successful with, bludgeoning Republicans, rather than even trying to negotiate with them.  Of course with RINO's, that hasn't exactly been a real challenge for you, since they seem to surrender faster than the French or Italians.  But enough of this historical recitation of Republican weakness.  

Lest we forget Obama's early adult years, remember that he began as a community organizer.  CO's don't negotiate.  They demand.  They lay it out in terms of what you are going to do for them or else suffer the political or monetary repercussions.  CO's are very good at laying out the consequences of not acceding to their demands.  This isn't leadership, unless you're a Capo in the Mafia.  

CO's walk the legal line, which is very close to extortion.  All we have to do is look to the Al Sharpton/Jesse Jackson, Sr. community organizing business model.  The only difference between these two otherwise street thugs and the run of the mill street thugs is that they have a better plan and dress better.  And Obama is even a better dressed than these two race baiting hate mongers and with a hell of a lot more means to force compliance to his wishes.

Obama has taken the Sharpton/Jackson business model and run with it as president.  He's taken what can be best described as a cottage industry created by Sharpton/Jackson and made it a corporate model on an almost global scale, with the power of the presidency in the form of his pen and phone as he issues Executive Orders and Executive Memoranda.  By the way, Executive Memorandums do NOT go into the Congressional Record as do Executive Orders.  Hence, the public does not really know of all the orders that Obama has really issued.  

All one has to do is look to the  power Obama has exercised in retribution as he uses the IRS and the EPA as his most notable agents of mayhem, since they are the two most prominent means of coercing recalcitrant victims to see the light of Obama's political righteousness or at least roll over and play dead as RINO's are so experienced at.

I'll Attempt to Explain......

I have recently received email from two different regular reader of this blog about the apparent turn to a darker more serious tone. For this I apologize, and I will attempt in as short a way as possible to explain.

Every year I write a letter to my mother, a letter that will not be sent.  She did not live long enough to see me grow to be a woman. It’s cathartic for me,  gives me time to reflect and ask myself "would she be proud of who I've become?" 

For those who do not know, I am a product of a wonderful Scottish born musician father many of you over 40 might recognize his voice, but not his name, and an American mother.  My father's work kept them in Europe most of the time and they chose to settled in a small quiet Belgian town for privacy. I was born in Brussels. 

My earliest memories of childhood are of picking wild flowers with my mother in the gently rolling hills above the Flanders Military Cemetery near where we lived. These grassy hills became our favorite picnic spot, and where she taught me the things a mother teaches her daughter; why the sky is blue, how to braid you hair, and in my case, why those 500 white crosses lay below us.  

She never let me forget the fact she was American, and so was I to be. She taught me the Pledge of Allegiance, and me and my friends the game of baseball.  We had watermelon and strawberry shortcake on 4th of July. 

In the summer she would take me to the open air markets to buy fresh fruit and flowers she loved to filled the house with. I also remember many times dark haired, dark eyed men in the market, men who dressed and spoke differently than my father, watching me and sometime felt them touching my hair.  One day, as a young teenager shopping with my mother, two of these dark haired men touched me inappropriately. My mother turned and slapped one of the men in the face. He began yelling words I did not understand and knocked my mother to the ground. It was while recuperating from that incident that doctors found the cancer that would eventually take her from us a little over a year later. 

What I saw in those men’s faces that hurt my mother was evil rage that I had never seen and did not understand. 

They were muslims. Immigrants from a nearby enclave. 

The events in Europe this past week have brought feeling to the surface I did not expect. The letter to my mother has made my mood somber, yet angry.  I have tried to write about other thing here to no avail. I have been consumed by anger at the memory of what was done to my mother, and the growing concern for my childhood friends and their young children.

I have seen many angry men, none like I saw that day. I was raised by my parents to be compassionate, and later by my aunt to be the proper Southern Belle I believe I've become. But when I see scenes of muslims men in the news, I recognize the same soulless evil I saw that day in the market.

I have an deep affinity for the European people that most Americans will not understand. I lived among them and was one of them as a child. I don’t expect anyone to understand. What we see happening in Europe now is no one's fault but their own, it's self inflicted. It is now up to us to make sure we don't place ourselves in evil’s way as they have. 

It hurts me deeply to see it happening, and to put it into words to my mother……

European Leaders Guilty of 'Moral Cowardice'

Nigel Farage, leader of the UK Independence Party (UKIP) , says that European leaders have been guilty of 'moral cowardice' in failing to challenge extremists.

Most big French cities have areas which have become "no-go zones" which non-Muslims and even police cannot enter, Nigel Farage has said.

The Ukip leader said that Britain and European countries have suffered from "moral cowardice" and allowed "big ghettos" to develop. He said: "It's happening right across Europe. We have got no-go zones in most of the big French cities. We've been turning a blind eye to preachers of hate that have been coming here from the Middle East and saying things for which the rest of us would be arrested. 

 "In parts of northern England we've seen the sexual grooming of under-age girls committed by Muslim men, in the majority, and for all of these things we are seeing the law not being applied equally, we're seeing the police forces not doing their job because we've suffered from moral cowardice.

 "We have through mass immigration and through not checking the details of those people who have come to our countries, we have allowed big ghettos to develop and when it comes to confronting tough issues and that is why we're in the mess we're in, we've been led very badly."

Janel Davis of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that a “noted scholar, author and veteran civil rights activist", Angela Davis, will deliver the keynote address January 18 at Kennesaw State University’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day observance. 

This is the same notorious snaggle-toothed  60's radical Angela Davis “who supported the imprisonment of Soviet political dissidents (calling them common criminals), cheered on the 1968 Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia, and was awarded the International Lenin Peace Prize (formerly the International Stalin Peace Prize) by communist East Germany.

Davis, former self-styled "political prisoner", tried and acquitted of suspected involvement in the abduction and murder of Judge Harold Haley in Marin County California in 1970, unrepentant Communist Party member, the US Communist Party Vice-Presidential candidate in 1980 and 1984, and now retired professor of history of consciousness and feminist studies at UC Santa Cruz.

Davis was made an honorary professor at Moscow State University. When she toured the Soviet Union she was used as a propaganda tool by the Brezhnev government. The torture, judicial executions, slave labour camps, political famines and mass murders of the Communist world weren't Davis’s concern.

Now Davis is claiming the mantle of Dr. Martin Luther King, a man honored by Americans for his commitment to peaceful change. Many young blacks may be duped into believing that Davis is somehow in the same league as Dr. King, as a result of papers like the Atlanta Journal-Constitution sanitizing her career. The Davis speech is sponsored by the Kennesaw State African-American Student Alliance.

Martin Luther King was controversial in his day but obviously is a much more accepted figure. Things like that change. 

One thing that has changed is that we have a media which censors the truth about people like Davis who rip off the system in order to destroy it.

In addition to pocketing tens of thousands of capitalist dollars from colleges and universities, the Angela Davis group called Critical Resistance,  gets massive funding from noted leftest George Soros through his Open Society Foundation.

Critical Resistance aims to empty the prisons of the United States, since criminals are considered victims of a capitalist society.

Those who believe communism is dead might be surprised to learn that in 2012 she gave a speech calling for “combating anti-communism.” At the same time, she has adopted the cause of radical Islam, declaring “Islamophobia” to be a major threat, the communist People’s World reported. 

The phenomenon of utopia-seeking Western intellectuals and the idealization of other social systems as essentially superior, whatever their "flaws" is due to estrangement. In other words, a disparagement of the West, a subculture of alienation, an adversary culture obsessed with the defects of its own society; hence their lack of self-criticism, shame, and guilt, much the same as we see in Black culture of America today. 

From my reading of history, that's not exactly what MLK had in mind.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is set to appoint a Muslim lawmaker to the Intelligence Committee, congressional aides said Tuesday, giving him access to some of America's most closely held secrets in the war on terror. Durham, N.C.- A weekly call to prayer for Muslims will be heard at Duke University starting Friday, school officials said.

Members of the Duke Muslim Students Association will chant the call, known as adhan or azan, from the Duke Chapel bell tower each Friday at 1 p.m. The call to prayer will last about three minutes and be “moderately amplified,” officials said in a statement Tuesday.

“The adhan is the call to prayer that brings Muslims back to their purpose in life, which is to worship God, and serves as a reminder to serve our brothers and sisters in humanity,” said Imam Adeel Zeb, Muslim chaplain at Duke. “The collective Muslim community is truly grateful and excited about Duke’s intentionality toward religious and cultural diversity.”

In majority Muslim countries across the globe, the adhan is broadcast from mosques and on television and radio stations five times a day to correspond with prayer times. On Fridays, the day of worship in Islam, sermons are also broadcast.

In the United States, amplified adhan exists in a handful of communities.

“How Can Any Man With Good Sense” Overlook the Koran’s Violence?

Bruce Thornton writes another great article titled “Western Sleepwalkers and the Paris Massacre.” He points out the utter lack of common sense in Western responses to repeated jihadi attacks, which are repeatedly portrayed as aberrations by Western media and leaders. Towards the end he writes, “Our ancestors for centuries acknowledged the true nature of Islam, a simple fact proven by 1000 years of Muslim aggression.” He then quotes Alexis de Tocqueville, “one of our most brilliant political philosophers,” who wrote the following in 1838:

"Jihad, Holy war, is an obligation for all believers. … The state of war is the natural state with regard to infidels … [T]hese doctrines of which the practical outcome is obvious are found on every page and in almost every word of the Koran … The violent tendencies of the Koran are so striking that I cannot understand how any man with good sense could miss them" (emphasis added).

Even Egypt’s Muslim president recently said that the Islamic “corpus of texts and ideas that we have sacralized over the centuries” are terrorizing the entire world.

The fact is, centuries before the current excuses used to rationalize away Islamic violence ever even existed — colonialism, Israel, cartoons, “Orientalism” — Islam was behaving violently toward the “infidel.” Concludes Thornton:

"Our leaders today have slipped into delusional dreams, in which people like Tocqueville or Winston Churchill––who in 1897 said, “Civilization is face to face with militant Mohammedanism”––are dismissed as ignorant bigots and racists who lack our superior knowledge and morality. Meanwhile, the bodies of jihadism’s victims continue to pile up, and Iran’s genocidal theocracy closes in on a nuclear weapon. And many in the West continue to sleepwalk through it all."

See, Everything is Great...

It was recently said we are approaching what many economists call “full employment.” That is the point at which the people who are unemployed really are “just between jobs.” There is little long term unemployment. Jobs are plentiful. There is upward pressure on wages. In short, general prosperity.

Can’t you feel it?

It is possible that the economy has slogged its way through all the central planning and manipulation in the wake of 2008 and the real economy is emerging a bit despite the central planners. I figure that’s part of the equation. But an unemployment rate of 5.6% would indicate a nearly rip roaring economy, anybody see much of that?

I do see something which somewhat resembles “not horrible” but it’s not like happy days are here. Add that Europe and Asia are slowing again (from already pretty darn slow), and that lower oil prices – though probably pushed down by the Saudis for geopolitical reasons – probably reflect this slowing world economy. Add that there seems to be no upward pressure on wages. And that housing has taken yet another dip. I can’t celebrate, and we should be celebrating an unemployment rate of 5.6%.  Of course the unemployment rate is not really 5.6%. In reality its at least 9 to 10 % if one accounts for the workers (especially older workers) who have just fallen off of the unemployment rolls after years on them. And don’t forget the vast sea of underemployed people.

As far as many of the establishment economists are concerned these 2 groups no longer really count “officially.” So hey, why even consider them? Better to do everything possible to conjure the “animal spirits.” Create the illusion of prosperity to create actual prosperity.

The permanently unemployed and the underemployed are such a buzz kill.

Muslim leaders from across America will gather in Texas this weekend to hold the annual Stand With the Prophet in Honor and Respect conference, a weekend forum that is being billed as a “movement to defend Prophet Muhammad, his person, and his message,” according to event information.

The Saturday event, which seeks to combat “Islamophobes in America” who have turned the Islamic Prophet Muhammad “into an object of hate,” according to organizers, comes just a week after radicalized Islamists in France killed 17 people.  Organizers of the event place the blame for Islam’s bad reputation on the media and so-called American Islamophobes who have “invested at least $160 million dollars to attack our Prophet and Islam,” according to the conference web page.

The Quran contains over 100 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers for the sake of Islamic rule. Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding.

The "Religion of Peace" was spread by the sword and has come full circle to intimidation and death to non-belivers.

Secret Service Foils Plot to Kidnap President

MFNS - A spokesman for the Secret Service Monday revealed a foiled plot believed to have been hatch by members of a yet unidentified foreign terrorist group. 

The plot, to kidnap President Barack Obama by using a trap-like device located on the grounds of the White House, was uncovered by a grounds keeper early Saturday morning near the exit the president uses when leaving the White house by Marine One. It is believedthe clever trapping device was set to be used when the President left for Paris and the Unity Rally, which he did not attend.

Photos of the trapping device were released showing the top-secret apparatus primed and ready to close upon the unsuspecting victim.  The trap, obviously of middle-east origin, had printing on it translated into English as "Acme Traps"

A grounds-keeper discovered the booby trapped device during his morning rounds picking up cigarette butts from the sidewalk outside the exit.  The trap was quickly disarmed and removed by an experienced EOD team brought in from nearby Quantico Marine Base. At no time was the President in any danger.

White House officials had ‘no comment’ when reporters asked who they believed set the trap.  

ISIS issued a statement denying any involvement in the plot, saying "It is ludicrous to believe we would waste Allah's time and our energy to kidnap someone the American people would not be willing to pay ransom for his return". He also added "we would be afraid we would have to pay America to take him back".

After being throughly checked for safety, the ‘bait’ was later chilled and consumed during the First Lady's luncheon held in the west wing dinning room.

Politics Make for Some of the Strangest Decisions in D.C.

In what could be the strangest political turnaround in recent times, comes this news in the face of the recent bungling by House conservatives in mismanaging a revolt against Speaker John Boehner.

As soon as the voting for the Speakership was over, Boehner announced some new changes in committee assignments and chairmanships.  Most thought that the bloodletting had begun, with Boehner apparently bludgeoning the conservative upstarts for their audacity in challenging his leadership.  Moves were made by Boehner and hard core conservative bloggers became enraged.

Now comes some quiet changes that very could bode well for the influence of House conservatives in the 114th Congressional Term.

Rather than punish and isolate those who opposed him as leader, Boehner surprised many on Friday by embracing an immigration plan that's tougher than lawmakers had expected. It would block President Barack Obama's recent limits on deportations and undo protections for immigrants brought to the United States illegally as children.

As the rebellious hard-liners celebrated, mainstream Republicans said Boehner's decision probably portends firmly conservative approaches to other issues. That would complicate life for some of the more moderate Senate Republicans and ensure fierce battles with the Democratic president.

Now, I don't want to throw cold water on what could become something positive for all House Republicans, but I have to admit that I am holding off any celebration until I actually see some consistent movement in the Republican House caucus toward a more conservative stance.  

The key point here is to see a consistent and measured movement to the right in the House.  A one time bone thrown to House conservatives will do nothing to assuage their concern for the same old practices of the Republican establishment leadership in the House.  

Boehner had better be prepared to make this move to the right a regular practice, or else things may only get worse for all House Republicans, thus giving Democrats a wedge to derail a Republican House agenda going forward.

Conservatives have to understand that despite Republicans having a substantial majority in the House, they still have an uphill battle with more moderate Republican Senators, who have their own battles to pass legislation in the Senate.  Some of what comes out of Congress, will undoubtedly find a presidential veto waiting to be exercised by Barrack Obama.  That may not always be a bad thing, since, if exercised regularly by Obama, it will firmly characterize Obama and Democrats as the "party of NO!", a label Democrats enjoyed hanging on Republicans and caused them problems at the ballot box.

Satire Extremists Erase Head of Terrorist Cartoon

MFNS - An unidentified group of satirists has leaked a terrifying video depicting the brutal decartooning of an unknown terrorist’s head. The video, shot in what appears to be a drawing studio, starts with a proclamation that the cartoon was sentenced to death for various crimes and continues with the gruesome, methodical erasure of the head of what appears to be a drawing of an Islamic fundamentalist.

“It was horrifying. They took a Staedler eraser and started wiping the head off without an iota of empathy for the unfortunate cartoon,” stated an anonymous source who claimed to be a witness  to the massacre. “I will never forget how the paper was shaking and twisting under the eraser.”

The video ends with an eerie promise that more ink will be spilled and that the world’s terror networks will be “brought to their knees” during an event referred to only as “The Night of the Quill.”

Mohammad Image of the Day

In 1999, Islamic art expert Wijdan Ali wrote a scholarly overview of the Muslim tradition of depicting Mohammad.  In that essay, Ali demonstrates that the prohibition against depicting Mohammad did not start to arise until as late as the 16th or 17th century, despite the media's continuing false claims that it has always been forbidden for Muslims to draw Mohammad.  Until comparatively recently in Islamic history, depictions of Mohammad (especially in Shi'ite areas) continued to be produced.

Another Screw the Taxpayer Scam

Obama to Propose Two Free Years of Community College

As we have learned, when a Democrat uses the word free, they actually mean bend over and smile taxpayers. And now Barack is to propose in his upcoming State of Disunion Speech, free college tuition for community college students.

"What I’d like to do is to see the first two years of community college free for everybody who’s willing to work for it."

His proposal would make two years free for students with a C+ average who attend school at least half-time and who are making “steady progress” toward their degree.  

And what about the free part?  Federal funding would cover three-quarters of the average cost of community college, and Obama is asking states to pick up the rest of the tab. (Lean Forward Mr. and Mrs. Taxpayer).

Here's the best part:
Community colleges must also adopt “promising and evidence-based institutional reforms to improve student outcomes".  Reforms and improved student outcomes in the same sentence means just one thing in Obama's America,  Federal Mandated Rules and Race Based Outcome.

What we will get is is another delusional liberal dream program,  our tax money haplessly given away to try and educate ghetto rats while they wile away their free time in weave salons or work on their rap careers while wasting educator's time and resources better used for responsible students. 

While a program like this could be helpful for single mothers trying to make a life for them and their family, or the  returning Veteran, it should be exclusive.  But like everything the liberal comes up with it will be another bloated federally directed affirmative action, administrative nightmare falling directly on the overtaxed taxpayers and states already struggling with and other federal mandates.

The Delusions Continue for Nancy Pelosi

The 114th Congress just began on Tuesday and we have anotherdelusional thought emerge from the House Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi.  Apparently, the tail wants to wag the dog and doesn't realize who's running the show in the House.  Yes, Nancy Pelosi has once again gone off the deep end of an admittedly shallow and diminished Democrat pool in the House.

One has to give Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) credit for trying to push an anti-American agenda as the minority party in Congress.   

Pelosi has unveiled a Democratic legislative “package” that includes the “Stop Corporate Expatriation and Invest In America’s Infrastructure Act,” a bill that prevents U.S. businesses from moving overseas, which according to Pelosi, would prevent these companies from “paying their fair share of taxes.”

Only a liberal Democrat, with no business experience and a less than third grade understanding of taxation, could come up with such an idiotic proposal for a bill in Congress.  American corporations are moving some or all their operations to foreign shores because the American tax code rate for corporations is the highest in the industrialized world.  Liberals Democrats, with their idiotic tax code, have given corporations every incentive to move offshore with the highest corporate tax rate in the world driving them to do so.

The economic principle is simple.  The more you tax something, the less you get in return for your efforts.

Understand that corporations are taxed on their profits at corporate rates and then stockholders are subsequently taxed at personal income tax rates again on the dividends they receive on the same corporate profits already taxed at the corporate level.  

This is exactly what the liberals want.  Double taxation.  They get two shots at taxing the same profits.  Not a bad deal, when you can get it.  Of course there is no moral or ethical justification for this, but then, we know liberals are morally and ethically challenged in doing anything that is morally or ethically right.  That's just the joy of being a liberal.  You get to make up a moral and ethical construction that suits the ultimate goal and, in this case, that is to squeeze and extract as much revenue as possible from corporations and tax payers.

Back to the present.  Liberal Democrats have driven American corporations to do exactly what they are doing for their stockholders, which, for corporations, is to maximize the value of the stockholder's equity holding in the corporation.  Corporations have a fiduciary duty to bring the greatest value to the stockholders.  Liberal Democrats simply can't get that concept through their Marxist socialist way of thinking.  It's completely antithetical to Marxist socialist dogma. 

Liberal Democrats are captives of Marxist socialist dogma, which demands a redistribution of wealth from producers to those who consume the wealth created by others, while those consumers of wealth do little if anything to become part of the producer class in America.  

There are more people are on food stamps than are students attending all levels of education in America.  America has become a nation of grifters living off the producers and why shouldn't they?  Liberal Democrats have given them every incentive to live off the producers of America with the vast and wide ranging social welfare programs they have enacted into law in order to gain political control over these people.  

When liberal Democrat government provides the basic necessities for human existence, without any responsibility for those receiving the assistance, a perpetual underclass is created and this underclass, almost 50% of tax filers, does not pay personal federal income taxes and a good portion actually get rebates in excess of what taxes they had withheld by employers. 

The best possible outcome for America and its economy would be to completely eliminate the corporate tax altogether and shift the tax to the personal tax rates for individuals who receive dividends and capital gains from their corporate income.  Individuals would receive significant increases in dividends which would make it more palatable to pay the personal tax rate.  This will, however, never happen because politicians in general, and liberal Democrats in particular, will never willingly give up control of a source of tax revenue, even if it means it will increase overall revenues by eliminating the corporate tax.

What makes Nancy Pelosi's proposal delusional is that there is no way on God's green earth, with an enlarged Republican majority in the House, that there is any chance of passing such Marxist socialist tripe.  Could a liberal Democrat be anymore anti American than Nancy Pelosi?  Probably not, but there are a lot of liberal Democrats that could compete for that ignominious distinction.
